A Question About The Name YAHUWAH

One of the viewers of the peopleofyahuwah WordPress website has ask the following question:

“I am very curious as to why the name is rendered YaHuWaH as in your case. Isnt the name represented by ‘yod hei vev hei’? The ‘w’ isnt even in the aleph-bet I hear. Wouldnt YaHoVeH be more accurate?
Deut 6:4 (transliteration) shmaa yisrael YAH HOVEH Eloheinu……YAH HOVEH echad : I understand the ‘YAH is’ (YA HOVEH) is depicted as the name. Kindly advice”

The Abary Language Is The Language Of The Scriptures

The peopleofyahuwah website wants to make sure that first the viewer that ask this question understands that the peopleofyahuwah website believes that the original and native language spoken by the descendants of Abaraham and Yaaqab who was rename Yahsharahal is called the Abary language. The Hebrew language is a modern language and is not the same as the Abary language.

The Phoenician Shamitic Alphabet

“The Phoenician alphabet, called by convention the Proto-Canaanite alphabet for inscriptions older than around 1200 BC, was a non-pictographic consonantal alphabet, or abjad.[1] It was used for the writing of Phoenician, a Northern Semitic language, used by the civilization of Phoenicia. It is classified as an abjad because it records only consonantal sounds (matres lectionis were used for some vowels in certain late varieties).”

“Phoenician became one of the most widely used writing systems, spread by Phoenician merchants across the Mediterranean world, where it was assimilated by many other cultures and evolved. The Aramaic alphabet, a modified form of Phoenician, was the ancestor of modern Arabic script, while Hebrew script is a stylistic variant of the Aramaic script. The Greek alphabet (and by extension its descendants such as the Latin, the Cyrillic and the Coptic), was a direct successor of Phoenician, though certain letter values were changed to represent vowels.”

Phoenician Is The Oldest Shamitic Alphabet

According to the Wikipedia article, the oldest Shamitic alphabet is the Phoenician alphabet. The alphabet of the modern languages are derived from and based on the Phoenician Shamitic alphabet as follows:

Phoenician (oldest Shamitic alphabet)

The other languages were derived from the Phoenician Shamitic language in this order.

The Greek Alphabet Is The Best Record

If we want to find out the original letter sounds of the alphabet letters “before” they were altered or added to by the other language nations, we need to go back to the Phoenician Shamitic alphabet and perform a comparison with the Greek alphabet because many of The Scriptures have been handed down to us in the Greek which I believe was translated from the Abary language, therefore, we must especially pay attention to the Greek in comparison of the sounds of the alphabets.

The Phoenician Shamitic Alphabet: The “V”

There is no “v” sound in the Phoenician Shamitic alphabets that many language alphabets are derived from. The sixth letter “waw” has a “w” sound.

The Four Vowels

“In the spelling of Hebrew and some other Semitic languages, matres lectionis (Latin “mothers of reading”, singular form: mater lectionis, Hebrew: אֵם קְרִיאָה mother of reading), refers to the use of certain consonants to indicate a vowel. The letters that do this in Hebrew are א aleph, ה he, ו waw (or vav) and י yod (or yud). The yod and waw in particular are more often vowels than they are consonants.”

The “or vav” is in parenthensis because the “waw” existed first and the “vav” derived from the “waw.”

Phoenician Cities

“Fernand Braudel remarked in The Perspective of the World that Phoenicia was an early example of a “world-economy” surrounded by empires. The high point of Phoenician culture and sea power is usually placed c. 1200–800 BC.”

“Many of the most important Phoenician settlements had been established long before this: Byblos, Tyre, Sidon, Simyra, Arwad, and Berytus, all appear in the Amarna tablets. Archeology has identified cultural elements of the Phoenician zenith as early as the 3rd millennium BC.”

The modern scholars call the civilization that existed in the area of Tyre and Sidon during the 1200-800 BC era Phoenicians, but The Scriptures give additional information about the civilization that occupied the cities of Tyre and Sidon during that time.

The Cities Of The Tribe Of Ashar

Yahuwshuwah (Joshua) 19:24-31

24 “And the fifth lot came out for the tribe of the children of Ashar according to their families. 25 And their border was Chalaqat, and Chaly, and Batan, and Achashap, 26 And Alamalak, and Amad, and Mashaal; and reacheth to Karamal westward, and to Shyachuwralabanat; 27 And turneth toward the sunrising to Byatadagan, and reacheth to Zabuwluwn (Zebulun), and to the valley of Gyayapatach toward the north side of Byatahamaq, and Nayal, and goeth out to Kabuwl on the left hand, 28 And Abaran, and Rachab, and Chamuwn, and Qanah, even unto great Tsyaduwn (Zidon/Sidon); 29 And then the coast turneth to Ramah, and to the strong city Tsar/Tsuwr (Tyre); and the coast turneth to Chasah; and the outgoings thereof are at the sea from the coast to Akazyabah: 30 Amah also, and Apak, and Rachab: twenty and two cities with their villages. 31 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ashar according to their families, these cities with their villages.”

The tribe of Ashar a ban of Yaaqab (Jacob) inherited the cities of Tyre and Zidon (Sidon). The Abary name for Tyre is Tsuwr or Tsar (H6865) and the Abary name for Zidon (Sidon) is Tsyaduwn or Tsyadan (H6721).

Yahsharahal Lived In Phoenicia Too

The peopleofyahuwah website has reason to believe that the alphabet that is called Phoenician alphabet in our modern times could possibly be the alphabet of the Abary Yahsharahal people because it is the Abary Yahsharahal people who inherited and occupied the area of Tsyaduwn/Tsyadan (Sidon/Zidon) and Tsuwr/Tsar (Tyre) during the 1200-800 BC era with the Kanaan until Yahsharahal went into captivity. The Scriptures describe the Yahsharahal people as an educated people who knew how to write and who were selected to record The Scriptures.

Ashar And Kanaan Lived Together

Judges 1:28, 31-32

28 “And it came to pass, when Yasharahal was strong, that they put the Kanaan (Canaanites) to tribute, and did not utterly drive them out.”

31 “Neither did Ashar drive out the inhabitants of Akuw, nor the inhabitants of Tsyaduwn (Zidon/Sidon), nor of Achalab, nor of Akazyab, nor of Chalabah, nor of Apyaq, nor of Rachab: 32 But the Ashary dwelt among the Kanaan (Canaanites), the inhabitants of the land: for they did not drive them out.”

The scriptural evidence shows that both the tribe of Ashar and Kanaan lived in the area of Phoenicia. Ashar inherited some of Phoenicia, but they fail to drive out Kanaan, instead, they put the Kanaan under tribute. Ashar became the dominant and strong culture during the 1200-800 BC Phoenician era.

What Is Tribute?

מס mas (H4522) {mahs} from 04549; n m AV – tribute, tributary, levy, discomfited, taskmasters 1) gang or body of forced labourers, task-workers, labour band or gang, forced service, task-work, serfdom 1a) labour-band, labour-gang, slave gang 1b) gang-overseers

Yahsharahal were taskmasters over Kanaan (Canaanites) who were made slaves to serve Yahsharahal.

The “WAW”

“Waw (wāw, also vau or vav) is the sixth letter of the Northwest Semitic family of scripts, including Phoenician, Aramaic, Hebrew, Syriac, and Arabic (“sixth” in abjadi order; it is 27th in modern Arabic order).”

“In Arabic and thus in most Semitic languages it represents the sound [w], though in some, such as Modern Hebrew, and the Indo-European Persian language, it represents [v] instead. In some (such as Hebrew and Arabic) also the long vowel [uː].”

The “v” sound in “Modern Hebrew” and the Indo-European Persian languages is a new modern letter sound for the letter “waw.”

The Preserved Sound Of WAW

The Phoenician “waw” has evolved into the following letter sounds in other languages:

Phoenician (oldest Shamitic alphabet)=waw=(w)

Hebrew waw=(w), v, (u), o
Aramaic waw=(w), o, (u)
Syriac waw=(w), o, (u)
Arabic waw=(w), (u), aw
Greek waw=(w), (u)
Latin waw=(w), (u), f, v, y
Cyrillic waw=(u), i, v

What most of these languages have in common for the sound of the waw is “w” as a consonant and “u” as a vowel.

Two Or Three Witnesses

Matatyahuw (Matthew) 18:16 “But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.”

The people of Yahuwah have seven out of eight witnesses as preserved in other languages that the “waw” is best represented by the letter “w” sound as a consonant and seven out of eight witnesses that letter “u” best represent the vowel sound of the “waw.”

Only three of the witnesses (Hebrew, Latin, Cyrillic) say that one of the sounds of the “waw” is represented by the letter “v”. Seven witnesses are better than three.

The Origin Of “V”

“The letter V comes from the Semitic letter Waw, as do the modern letters F, U, W, and Y. See F for details.”

“In Greek, the letter upsilon ‘Υ’ was adapted from waw to represent, at first, the vowel [u] as in “moon”. This was later fronted to [y], the front rounded vowel spelled ‘ü’ in German.”

“In Latin, a stemless variant shape of the upsilon was borrowed in early times as V—either directly from the Western Greek alphabet or from the Etruscan alphabet as an intermediary—to represent the same /u/ sound, as well as the consonantal /w/. Thus, ‘num’ — originally spelled ‘NVM’ — was pronounced /num/ and ‘via’ was pronounced /ˈwia/. From the 1st century AD on, depending on Vulgar Latin dialect, consonantal /w/ developed into /β/ (kept in Spanish), then later to /v/.”

“W” and “WAW” existed before “V” and “VAV.”

The Sound Of The “WAW”

As a consonant, the Phoenician “waw” has a “w” sound like the “w” in the word “week.”

As a vowel, the Phoenician “waw” has an “uw” sound like the “oo” in the word “too.”

Is YAHOVEH More Accurate Than YAHUWAH?

YAHOVEH is not more accurate than YAHUWAH based upon the Phoenician language alphabet, since the peopleofyahuwah website believe that the letter “V” is an alphabet letter sound introduced in our modern times to represent the Phoenician letter “waw”.

Furthermore, the peopleofyahuwah website believes the letter “heh” has the following two sounds:

As a vowel, the Phoenician letter “heh” has an “ah” sound.

As a consonant, the Phoenician letter “heh” sounds like “h” as in the word “hope.”

The “H” In YHWH

In the transliteration Y(AH)OV(EH), the “heh” appears to have two different vowel sounds assigned to it as follows: “ah” (Y[AH]OVEH) and “eh” (YAHOV[EH]) in the same name. The ancient Phoenician language did not have a Masoretic vowel point system like the Modern Hebrew language which assigns different vowel sounds to the same letter. The peopleofyahuwah website uses one vowel sound for “heh” which is “ah.”

The Tetragrammaton: YHWH

Abary Language Names

The Name YAHUWAH Has Meaning

You “Hast Not Denied My Name”

Revelation 3:8 “I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.”

The peopleofyahuwah website believes that YAHUWAH has preserved the alphabet letter sounds of His name. When we pronounce the Phoenician letter “waw,” we do not hear the letter “v”, but we hear the letter that has become known in our modern times as “w.” The letter “v” is a modern addition to the Hebrew, Latin, and Cyrillic alphabet.

Somebody has the true name of the Creator in these last days because in the Book of Revelation the Creator compliments those who do not deny His name.

Take Heed! Shamar! Raah!
